The OBN IIIs rocked the hell out of Emo's. One of the best shows of the year!


Again, it sucked that I couldn't get any video because I my extra battery and charger were unavailable to me for a couple of days.

December 27, 2011: Knife in the Water, Glorium, December Boys, The Black

Benefit for Jonathan Toubin @Emo's with the Black, December Boys, Glorium and Knife in the Water. All the bands were great, I'm glad I finally got to see Knife in the Water, and Glorium was electrifying!



Bummed that I couldn't get any video because my battery was running low and I didn't have my extra battery.

October 14, 2011: Fleshtones Party!

Ain't no party like a Fleshtones party! The Fleshtones (with help from the Ugly Beats) got down @Uncle Billy's on Lake Travis, of all places. The afterparty was The Ripe gig @Emos. "Good times" doesn't even come close to describing it.

June 9, 2011: Was it a rocking weekend? Sheeeeeee-it! (Pt. 1)

This Thursday kickoff to the weekend was one bad muhfugger! I did 5 one-way trips between Skinny's Ballroom and Emo's, so this fatass got his sweat on both during and between the bands' sets. And although I didn't get to see their set, I got the Planets cd (with a little help from my friends...Dan, I owe you 2 bucks!) and I am thoroughly diggin' it.

Jan. 8, 2011: Free Week Saturday

Last day of my free week @Beerland and @Emo's. I'd never seen Coma in Algiers before and they were a very nice surprise! ELVIS was as unsettling as always, and that's a good thing. The Chumps killed it at Emo's to put a nice finish to the proceedings!

Jan. 6, 2011: Free Week Thursday

2nd night of my free week @Emo's with the Ugly Beats and the rest of the bands @Beerland with Teenage News, Love Collector, Flesh Lights and OBN IIIs. Waaaaay fun!

Jan. 5, 2011: 1st show of the year (Free Week Wednesday)

I got a late start to Free Week this year. I missed the shows on the first weekend, but I still saw some great stuff, starting on Wednesday at Emo's with Planets, Flesh Lights, ELVIS, Shapes Have Fangs and A Giant Dog.
