November 4, 2011: Planets, Agent Ribbons, Kay Leotard

Planets, Agent Ribbons, Kay Leotard and Follow That Bird @Frontier Bar. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Follow That Bird. The bands all played excellent sets and it was my first time seeing Agent Ribbons and Kay Leotard.

Planets, Hatchet Wound and French Inhales @Emo's. There are many Austin bands I like. And it's always way cool when 3 of them are on the same bill!

Feb. 4, 2011: Girls Rock Camp Benefit @Beerland

Other than the a-hole photographer (it wasn't me this time) that was onstage during the Flesh Lights set, it was a great night at Beerland. Cruddy opened, but I only got to hear a couple of songs. Also rockin' it were Bottle Service, Planets. Yellow Fever also rocked it, but in a much less overtly rock'n'roll fashion. I still can't believe everyone, including me, was too nice to tell that photog to get off the stage.

Jan. 5, 2011: 1st show of the year (Free Week Wednesday)

I got a late start to Free Week this year. I missed the shows on the first weekend, but I still saw some great stuff, starting on Wednesday at Emo's with Planets, Flesh Lights, ELVIS, Shapes Have Fangs and A Giant Dog.
